I won’t insult Parisians or Paris itself by trying to sum it up in a couple of words. The “short of the long of it” is that I wasn’t thrilled to visit Paris. I thought it was cliche. I loved it.
Arguably the Most Beautiful Stained Glass in the World
With it’s exquisite Gothic architecture, and stained glasses windows, this (lesser-known) giant may turn into your favorite memorable experience in Paris. Stand in awe of the dramatic scenes of the Rose Window to the West. The red and blue colors dance and glimmer all around you, memories of sunlight that proved to be the most beautiful views, perhaps of my entire life.
In a continent full of relics and churches, you simply cannot skip this chapel. A place built to be suitable for power, royalty and kings. Money can sometimes buy beauty. Visit, you can thank me later!
Here are a couple more photos from my stay.
Hanging with the gargoyles at the famous Cathedral Notre Dame. What a dame she is indeed. I huffed and puffed my arse up to the top.
Looking back, I’m very satisfied with the decision to skip out waiting in line forever to go up in the notorious Eiffel. Opt out of the experience at the top for the sparkling light show down at the bottom.
