Magnificent at night, the Grand Place has been voted the most beautiful square in Europe. This is the capital of the European Union, and the busiest city in Belgium. The city’s Christmas market vibrantly buzzzed during our stay. Technically, Belgium is a tri-lingual country, with the primary language being French, followed by Dutch and English. Good luck getting much English out of anyone other than the hotel desk assistants though, the people seem to stick to their guns on their French.
