Country collector–Katie used to be one of the top 10 most traveled American females in her 20s. She is working on her goal of trying to visit every UN recognized country on Earth.

She backpacked around the world in 80 days. She was surprised at the lack of sustainability practices when photographing wildlife in Costa Rica. A slew of interviews in the Balkans changed her outlook on war and human rights. Katie traveled to Iraqi Kurdistan to uncover the truths about disputed lands and rights of nomadic Kurds. She spent the best summer of her life working on a brown bear conservation project in the back-country of Alaska then headed north to the Arctic to investigate oil drilling. Now in her 30s:
